  1. shippings not that expensive when shipped to Malaysia, can check at singpost http://www.singpost.com.sg/main/home.asp last time I bought a headphone from some forumers ...and I'm totally happy with it ...and willing to do some more shopping in the classifieds if the price is right and the seller is willing to ship here most are still skeptical sending items here (no offence) ...plus it's less hassle selling at thier own place...to bad singaporeans gets most of the good deals *sigh about the customs, yup there is a risk of them inspecting the item...the customs were bugging me last time and keeps asking how come the headphone so expensive ?? and keep joking around...but in the end if you talk nicely...their not to bad...guess it's part of their job but if it's a second hand item then they wont charge you if it's a new item maybe you can negotiate for the seller to under value the item a bit...so taxes are not to high...but it's up to you
  2. I heard in japan there are some stuffs they sell only for locals and not to outsiders ?? Is that true ??
  3. Ok thanks for the tips guys... Will do some testing
  4. Since this is not related to my post earlier...I decided to start a new thread... ... I'm deciding whether to get an amp or not I mean I have a nad 302 at home...not mine but I could use it would this suffice ??... Anyway what are the criterias I should consider if I were to get an amp?? What are the difference between a normal amp an a headphone amp ??? And how would I know that the amp has enough power to power the headphones ?? I mean I've seen headphone with impendance of 300 and mine is aroung 150 If not mistaken... and I think the higher the impendance the harder to drive it . Am I right ?? So how do I know an amp is power enough to drive the headphone...which part of the specs do I look for ?? any calculations ?? One more thing I noticed some bookshelf speakers has an impendance of 4(I passed by some audio shop and looked around) or maybe I looked the wrong part... how come headphones have higher impendance ?? I'm not really sure about this..please clarify it to me as always thanks
  5. Well I guess I didnt really remember much since...it was quite some time since I used it without any sponge... I guess about 2 month or so...untill I found this forum .... So lucky for me But I did test it with some thick sponge and well from my opinion it sounded a bit deep ... I mean I guess with thick sponge you loose some details but it sounded a bit wider and the singer seem to like move back a bit further..maybe I'm not to good in expressing it in words But on certain songs I did like it with the thick sponges...coz sometimes certain high pitch really bother my ears ;(
  6. Hi just finish modding my senns ... took me just about an hour.... Tested several materials...such as thick sponges...thin sponges ... and lastly I settled down with some thin women stockings ... they sounded nicer Thanks
  7. Thanks... I searched for sponge insted Should have tried foam Anyway I did contct the senn dealers here...tegas automation namely ... but they didnt seem much help after a couple of mails I sent them ... Sp I was tired of waiting and decided to do it myself if I could fing the proper materials Thanks a lot for you help
  8. If I replace it with a different material ... wouldnt this affect sound quality ?? Which is the best material you guys suggest to use ?? I did a search at headwize but could find any mods like you mentioned.... I did try to open it up but couldnt succeed ... any tips...or pics how to open it up??? Thanks
  9. Thanks ... anyway is the earpads replacement the same as the sponge... Coz the earpads cushion doesnt have a problem ...only the thin sponge inside...or do they come together ?? I was wondering is it possible to open the cushions ?? I'm afraid it would ruin the cans I already tried to contact the local distro which is tegas and they sisnt have it... ;(
  10. I own a sennheiser hd 565.... And the problem is the sponge thing ... Not sure what to call it the ones covering the inside of the speakers so you would not expose it... has torn apart... Anyone know where I can find a replacemet ??? By the way I'm in malaysia...and I tried to find one here but didnt manage to...I even contacted the local distributor.... Maybe someone here can help me find one ..and mail it to me I'm willing to pay ...If someone is willing to help...maybe we could discuss it further Coz I really love these cans Thanks
