Hi, I am currently using a macbook w sennheiser HD457 for music listening. I listen mainly to dance, chillout and trance. Wonder if any bros here can share which DAC to recommend to fit my budget of bout $100-$120? I'm not sure if that amount can get me anything. saw it at hung brothers today. Quite interested in it. wonder how is the bass for this pair of earphones like? cuz i prefer something with hard bass cuz i usually listen to trance and techno tracks. anyone using it with the Ipod? cuz the ipod tend to have lesser amount of bass. any comments would be appreciated thanks

Any Ipod users using the panasonic RP-HJE50?? How is the bass like? i luv strong bass though. I have the SONY EX51's but the bass don seem to be tat strong when used with the Ipod

well.. actually i alr have the EX51SP and i don really like it. cuz the highs r sometimes ear piercing! and i think i would prefer a normal earphone la. BTW, is the -Audio Technica ATH-CM5 good? i think its more for clarity den bass rite? thanks

hi, my bro decided to take over my MX500 since his is spoilt. so i'm gonna get another pair of earphones. i'm quite a bass heavy person so which do u all recommend? i don want canal phones cuz i own a pair and i don really like it, and headphones r juz not compaitble with my small head.. look so funny with dem on so i'm only interested in earphones. budget about 50-60 bucks? hope to hear frm the ipod users out there soon thanks

it takes awhile for the MX500 to burn in. i let it run for 2-3days. when i 1st bought it i feel tat there isn't any bass and it sounds the same as the normal ipod earphones. after burning in for 2 to3 days i could actually hear the diff, it sounded so much better with a stronger bass.. so i think it takes time for it to get better

i have the above for sale as i'm upgrading to the ipod. Bought the player in june 04. but it was faulty so i got a brand new replacement frm philips in july, so the player is still new and in good condition.( earphones have not been opened up to use) for specs refer here and for a review of it here it has very good sound quality. clear and produces good bass. I'm also interested to noe how to mod the EX70 As for Panasonic's RP-HJE50, there is a person in yahoo auctions selling them brand new at S$53. he sell only brand new stuff frm iriver to sony EX71s and they r priced cheaper den outside. afew of my frens have bought frm him and were very satisfied. i dunno if i am allowed to post links of other sites here as i'm still new to this forum, those whu r interested can eally wanna noe can msg me den i'll give u the link to all his auctions
