  1. Here's a good action to apply the sepia tone on Photoshop: http://www.thelightsright.com/DigitalDarkr...LRSepiaTint.htm Can adjust the settings too.
  2. Which cans/buds have you used that were giving you problems? Generally, a pair of good cans/buds last very long (in terms of years and not months). On choosing the cans, which genre of music do you like to listen to? And what source do you use? Will it be for a home rig or a portable rig? Is isolation important? Most importantly, what's your budget?

    I did it

ER-6i is already here is SLS? That's fast. How much did you pay for the E2s? Too bad you didn't join in the MUGS MO for the Shures...E2 went for $120 and E3c for $210.
  4. headfonegeek: From where did you buy your cans? Online or shop?
  5. E1c is not available anymore, and very few shops have any remaining stock, so you may have limited options unless you're willing to go 2nd hand.
  6. New album from Jay Chou 七里香 Common Jasmine Orange
  7. It seems that the Etys are more susceptible to microphonics.
  8. iPod shouldn't have a problem driving the ER-6 right? Only 48Ω.
  9. Yes, ER-6i is intended to be more bassy than the ER-6. It is also "limited edition" and comes with the tri-flange tips (not too sure about these, but the site compares the isolation of ER-6 and ER-6i with 2-flange, foam; 3-flange and foam tips respectively). E3c is going for USD122 (excl shipping) at Earphonesolutions.com with coupon code F122E3 during checkout. This offer expires August 22nd and is from iPodlounge. Shipping costs another USD28-38. Comes with 2-year warranty + 30-day return. More headaches for you
  10. Grado SR-80 is around $170 new, but you can get it cheaper 2nd hand. Or the SR-60, ard $120 new. But they are not really portable.
  11. You guys might want to check this PowerBuy initiated by Mac Users Group Singapore: http://www.macuser.org.sg/yabbse/index.php...g87824#msg87578 Prices quoted EDIT: clarifications EDIT: revised prices
  12. Hi there, How about the warranty with these? Is it 2 years as in Shure's website? Reading around, it seems that the shops here honour some sort of warranty, though not necessarily the full 2 year one. It's best to ask the shop before buying.

    Buying cans

Okay then, how about buying 2nd hand. Dun really care about being the first or subsequent owner, so I think I should get one second hand first. The Classified section here isn't really very active, so where can I find some 2nd hand offerings (either online or in a physical shop)? I understand head-fi has a good classified section but I will prefer not to get it from overseas if I've a choice.

What about the local warranties? Are they valid?

    Buying cans

It seems that Shure warranties are not valid if I buy from a shop here in Singapore? What happens if I buy from a US online store then, how do I go about exchanging/servicing it if something happens? What about other brands (e.g. Ety, Grado, Beyer)?
  16. Indeed they are. If I want to order online I'd rather go for US retailers as they have a wider range of prices to choose from. Anyone bought something from them before? How was the service and the shipping?
