The music is not transfer but it is rip real time when uses MD. Unless you uses pro MD recorder, the audio is rip and compress.
Using line-in recording would cause some lost of details.

Hi guys. Remove the dual supply version as it cause too much confusion.
Visit here and tell me any more improvement you guys like to see.

I knew this when visited EDMW during lunch. I like his show very much.
This seriosly shows the fraility of life. Faced with hundreds of dangerous/venomous snakes and hungry crocodiles, he didn't seem the least bit threatened. HOwever, When with this usually harmless stingray, he died. The odds are perhaps more than 1 in 10 000 000... This is seriously a wake-up tone for all of us. Your life may be over tomorrow.
Worst thing is, you won't even know it...
That is why we must live everyday to the fullest.

OT.
Found you use the same mouse as mine.
Ok.

4 on each board. Total 12. May or may not work.

Then again cheap DVD media will get corrupted after 1~2 years down the road. Normally it's good to do homework first on that particular disk.

How about regrounding the cap to another part of the casing?
You can also try adding 10nF poly cap accross your diode.
-
I believe yours is BenQ right?
-
Congrats!!!
BTW, lengcm.
I think your CD is still with me after the SP meet.
-
You can try reduce the hum be removing the transformer and rectifier away from you amp.
Edit: Why is your poly cap connecting to one of your RCA?
This configuration doesn't make sense.

Jason mate...
would you have an issue if started a new thread follwing my building of the Cmoy2 ?
think of it as the most basic instructions for the very very amature electronics chap. (ie me)
Sure thing..

Hehe.. i am starting on bleach too!!! First episode yesterday on channel 56: 6:30pm. Interesting .. I am lazy to download so iwill watch the anime one episode at a time...
There is some filler after 40+ episode. By then you'll get sianz. I didn't watch after the filler 'cos harddisk crash so dunno how good issit now.

haha. i leeching from my friends. they downloaded all and i'm like watching near 10 episodes a day? it's quite nice!
Aww, that was nothing. I completed Law of Ueki (50+ episode) in 2.5 days. Took half days off and go back to watch.

Hi ya. I am back after 2 days on the Battle Field (2).
For the LED, giving it 5mA will be sufficient. Designing it to go higher would also means that your battery will go flat very fast. My recommendations is to use resistor between 1.2k to 1.5k, 1/6W carbon.
As for removing the LM6171. I don't recommend for newcomers as one false step could burn the other ICs easily. My bad on the dual voltage, seems like I was greedy back then. Cmoy2 was design for beginners so I wouldn't count on it to be as great (sound) and expensive as other amp.
RancidM,
The default gain would be sufficient as onboard sound gives at least 1Vrms. I would also suggest to get a soundcard if you intend to do serious listening. In my experience, most onboard are noisy.
Heady,
Thanks for standing in in my absent. Hopefully I will be having some "prototype" next year and let you havefun wif 'em.

If you guys ever notice, Gundam Seed story was rip off from their first Gundam Series. Watch liao got Deja VU.

You have me has an anime fan too. 200gb worth of anime.
300GB anime here haven't watch.

Jason: btw, i think haruhi makes a nicer avatar.
Nah, I still prefer Kyon. Suzumiya Haruhi's madness is told at the view of Kyon.

Ha, the babel direct translation is not accurate.
Seems like HD600 have a serious contender. With M Pro having an almost identical characterestic to the HD600 and an easy driving capability.

Thinking of a simplified design that uses 2 x AA. Then it'll use a MAX619 or MAX1642 to step up the voltage to 5Vp-p and it'll be used as the V+ and V- of a single AD8066 chip.
I'm sure it'll be more distorted compared to the cmoy 2 and maybe even the cmoy... but if just might work. Need to get the chips to test out...
Err, someone seems to have done this before. With a 3V opamp.
Was thinking of bypassing the LM6171, c3-7 and setting up the board to use only 1 opa2134 and removing the led to cut a little on power...Use OPA134 lol, single opamp IC. No need to cut trace.

Sipher,
Thanks but the url isn't complete... here ya go http://www.genesisloudspeakers.com/whitepa...Black_CDsII.pdf
I think u guys should try copying one of the cheap cd presses from indonesia or malaysia. Those are the worst cds i've come across and any decent copy should have a difference.
Long story on why slower burns help. Will point you to an article if i find one.
I have but not conclusive... perhaps my cd player was not resolving enough. Friend did and chose Ricoh as it sounded closest to the original but I couldn't hear difference between Ricoh copies and originals audiophile recordings.
I did hear difference between USA and Germany pressing of a Sheryl Crow album. Contrary to common belief, the german pressing sounded better!
I believe none of us here have (or will be getting) a high end (>$5k) CD Playing source so i guess it matters less.
Up old thread. Interesting read here.

Creative have good designer but bad management. Management likes ugly design.
-
It get's rather interesting when you combine 'em with Sci-fi.
Gundam Seed DVDrip anyone?

' date='26 Aug 2006, 03:41 AM' post='75559']the word "infamous" here isn't used quite right.
It gaved me the impression that the H3xx had baaaad sound quality and a rather "cleeean" signal.
I digress.
H3xx series had never any TRUE line-outs.
THey are shared with the volume and that is one thing that i hate about it.
*rant* : damn that hiss when i plug in anything!!
It may be a true line-out, only that a badly design could make a hiss like that.

I wonder did Mackie ever realise this:
