  1. Hi,

    1. The CMOY2 follows the A47 schematic and not the CMOY, so one dual opamp is for one channel only which is why you need two 2134 for L/R.

    2. I personally don't recommend the casing specified as it is a little too small for the panel components ie. jacks, volume pot and LED. If you solder the pot onto the pcb, then for sure using this case is going to be a pain.

    3. A browndog won't fit as the pcb is really small and compact.

    4. Sound quality of the CMOY2 using standard chips - VERY good especially if you consider the cost to build this. It is a whole lot better than a CMOY but not quite as good as a standard Pimeta.

    That's my opinion.

I would agree on point 2. I never built the prototype with a "casing" and end up this way.... :P

If a pot is needed then the stereo jack have to shift to the side, making it ugly. My bad. :bash:

Thanks on the point 4. Luckily I still have a proper casing.

  2. If you are able to compare the 720 with a more contemporary Pannie unit, please do. Anyhow, these Pannie pcdps harbour D-amps (digital amps) that not only produce a more realistic surround and bass enhancement through the different eq modes, the un-eq signal is also more open and transparent.

Mmm, I prefer 720 sound to my Micro. Still happily listening...

  3. I was shock when I read this news at 9am, post at HWZ immediately. As Creative will make accesories for Apple. All of a sudden I felt the whole Ipod fan supported Creative.

Seems that Creative strategy now is to focus less on MP3 player. Why make a money losing product. So you may see Creative accesories that support Apple product more in the future.
