    X-Fi out...

Lol. You mean Xtrememusic...as far I know...it's best to get the fatality or platinum...because the only added bonus of the elite pro is more ports.
  2. As above. For around 120 -140. Self-collect.

    X-Fi out...

So...any reviews of the crystallizer? Or CMSS3D?
  4. I suppose the fact is that...if Apple DOES somehow, through some bad improbable stroke of bad mojo, lose out in the mass consumer market, they still have their niche to fall back on. Same goes with Creative, should their mp3 line fail, they can always just fall back on their sound card corner. No?

    Samsung YJ-H70

Wow. Compared to the features of an Ipod photo, that's actually quite good... No money though, lol!
  6. HAHa. Lol. I'll stick with 'moustached uncle' Does anyone get the same experience when you ask to test out? He get's a bit agitated...and then irritated if you audition for too long.

OoOoh...ogg. So it's about the Ipod's size, but thicker? Anyways...sounds interesting, cost?
  8. I don't really think there's a point for a picture screen...unless there's a camera attached. Eventually the gimmick of just being able to display photo's isn't....everyone-ish. Then of course, you've got the 'trend' factor. No doubt fashion-centric's are going to get one the first day it comes out. I'm going to stick with my faithful micro. Headphone jack and hard drive problem both self-fixed. Plus it can take a hell of a beating in the my pocket. Btw, I think the word 'nano' is SO overused. Creative uses it, HP flaunts it, now Apple likes it. Just makes it sound...cheap (referring to the zen nano - which is cheap.)
  9. They probably under estimated the sudden popularity of the earphones. Btw, know anyone who's going to the special opening for members only, with all the discounts and stuff?...
  10. Apparently it was also very popular at COMEX....say some flyers with the 630 cancelled out.
  11. Got free for a demo for the X-fi...comes with microphone. Retailing at 35. Letting go at 30.HS-250

    X-Fi out...

Tried out the X-fi for myself...the crystallizer's a bit...wierd. Maybe it's just the sample tracks that I got to listen to...but when the song are 'enhanced', the bass gets more depth, and the highs are shaper...but I don't seem to get any marked improvement from the mids. In the end, it sound bright and boomy at the same time. Wierd combo...so I'm not sure. That said, the CMSS-3d was nice, really give a wider soundstage and percieved direction. Question: Does the EMU use the same technology as the X-fi.
  15. Bought a AKG K26P pair of headphones about 1-2 weeks back from Hung Bro's. Bought from there at about 70, cause got sale, price mark down from 99. Some pics...AKG K26P The one I'm selling is the silver one. Added: Offering 10 days personal warranty. Official warranty not confirmed. Hopeing to let go for 55.
  16. I did, for a moment. Didn't exactly fit, so didn't experience any isolation. I don't exactly have any specific genre. Looking for an all-rounder, basically.
  17. Once you've tried on some md33's, it's really hard to give praise in comparison. So far, I haven't encountered any cans which can compare to the isolation, clarity and depth that they provide. *Peeks at ATH-CM7*, wonder these will match up....? Sigh...the only thing bugging me for my md33's are the long wires and the terribly sensitive microphonics, so walking and listening to my zm with them is irritating. Plus they're pretty fragile. Correction: Not the ATH-CM7, but there was one audio technica foldable that cost 115 that looked really good.
  18. The k26p feels...adequate. I can't take the pinch on my ears though. Get's very irritating and painful after a while, so I have to take them off. Also, doesn't really suite my genre of music, which is mostly jazz and instrumental, which of course requires clarity of the mids and highs. Odd though, everytime I listen to it and then change back to my md33's, the latter sounds light and shallow.
  19. Really depends on what type of music you're into.

    X-Fi out...

Interesting....hmmm...can't decide now. Lots of people on other forums saying the X-fi can't match up to the EMU line. That's it! I'm going to get a 0404 on impulse! Be prepared to see EMU for sale in the classifieds real soon.

    X-Fi out...

Oooo...EMU and X-fi...How'd you get to demo it? Hmm...what's the difference between the EMU and the X-fi in terms of how they process music?
  22. I'd recommend in-ear phones ala. the EP-360 from creative. Good isolation and sound for money.

    X-Fi out...

Suddenly reconsidering to get an EMU instead. Cheaper, and more or less suits the equipment I have, which is 2 speakers only.
  24. Lol. When to audition both cans today. The PX200 provided no isolation, or just didn't fit my head no matter what angle I turned it. Also noticed the lack of bass. The padding, I feel, is a bit too light, that's why there's not enough isolation. Tempted to buy the cool looking ATH-EM7 from Audiotechnica, but costs a bomb. Also cannot test. So I decided to go for the 69 buck AKG. First impressions are that the bass is VERY noticable, quite pronounced. The mids and especially the highs were a bit muddied. The lows however, were warm and generally sounded good. Isolation's better than I expected, definitely better than the PX200, though it does get uncomfortable after a while because the cans put pressure on the from of the ears. Decided to buy this one instead, and let it burn in to see what happens.
