i just took a few shots, but bloody photobucket keeps resizing my photos to 400x300 . i don't want to show them. wait until tmr morning then i find some other host =P

I'm finally done with my SOHA after... dunno how long. Had so many problems with parts and all, but finally .. here it is without flash with flash after abit of listening.. well i'd say it spanks my old pimeta. i'll probably case it up in a few weeks

rev.2 of the soha pcb board btw, no changes to the schematics. yea diy-ing the pcb, should be testing it sometime next week or maybe sunday

i'm more or less done with the pcb already, if i can get a drill bit tmr, then the amp should be ready by tmr night. if i can't... then its a whole different story if i can get it ready by tmr, and theres no hum or whatever issues, then i'll release it to you guys and probably on request, etch a board for a few bucks (at cost price, no profit) or so.

the 2 curly lines ( ~ ) connect to AC from your transformer , + is the top part of the 4 joined diodes you see on the schematics, and - is the bottom one. i'll attach a picture in awhile to make it clearer edit: heres the pic

ehh actually you could've gotten the PS parts at koba too :/ i went to slt to buy cuz i had to go to LHS to buy some cable its ok about the LED, i guess we'll make do with what's sold at koba and umm no need to bring your multimeter, we're not building the amp at koba =P the circular ones should be fine, and the ratings should be fine too. there should be labels on the back of the IEC socket, i dunno how yours is labelled but i have one here thats labelled L N G , L for live N for neutral and G for ground. 12VA will do fine also, but its abit over-specced unless of course you want to use a high current output stage like squalle intends to btw i didnt get a PM from you. bug in the sgheadphone forum code?

how much current can diamond buffers push? there was some talk about this on the headwize soha thread too, but the thread looks dead these few days

yea thats the one i'll go experiment around with drawing pcbs later edit: but i heard szekeres very sensitive to power supply right ? the psu that the soha is designed around isnt that good

what the 0.1uf cap between the tube and the opamp for arh? edit: the dc-coupled version of the szekeres doesnt have an output cap, so why not?

i was thinking of the dynalo output stage actually edit: but i think its abit overkill, so what's squalles idea ? the one you stated on headwize, the szekeres buffer?

@kube: yea i'm going to have an LED part. reminds me! i forgot to get purple LED from slt basement today RLED will depend on the voltage of the LED and how much current you want to feed it. i'm really getting very forgetful!
