Hi all, PC onboard sound/WAV files->mini jack 2 RCA->headamp->cans hearing quite a bit of background noise. Considering one of the following options to cure the problem. The noise increases with inc in volume to the point when I scroll mouse it starts to distort further. Its quite obvious on slow tracks. Need your advice on which option would be most practicle. 1) get a sound card (currently using onboard sound) 2) get a USB dac (externally powered) 3) change my PC power supply Thanks in advance

gotcha..that was bit of frustration there. using Zu oxyfuels ....since i plugged in the splitter...sounds gone to a point where the headout from the CD7300 sounds better. If someone tells me the splitter needs to "burn in" for 100hrs..i'll probably fall off my chair..haha

prefer those soldered with Neutriks and deal around Bedok/Tampines/Pasir Ris Thks!

I missed my 2channel system so badly that i got a budget set up after ditching it for pure headphone rig recently. Now im screwed. I have to use an RCA splitter (fro CD7300 to Corda heamp amp/digital receiver) and the sound sucks (bright /thin) via headphones. Is there anyway to MOD a second pair of outputs on my CD7300? tks!

From looking for cans for late night DVD movies, it has got so outta control it has come to this (enjoying it nonetheless). Marantz 7300 - second hand Corda HA-1 MkII - - second hand Zu Oxyfuel IC - had it for some time AT900 Ltd - new 50 hrs in Grado 225 (Beyer headband/Senn 414 unmodded) - good 200hrs Senn 600/650 (when the price is right or when the itch becomes unbearable ) When I want my "Sultans to Swing" - the grados are it..toe tappin pleasure. Vocals/jazz trio etc. AT900's controlled treble/tight bass are great..no complaints. The midrange is a touch forward (which is OK with me) but just lacks that bit of warmth. Down to my humble plea for advice/recommendations. Will the change of interconnects, addition of footers or introducing resistance/attenuation improve the situation? http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=4132 Note : Im not willing to change source/amp to achive my objective Budget for tweaks..max 100 bucks Thanks!

Sorry, bro. can't find my data cable. Anyway. its pretty straight forward. wrap it around and fasten the 4 buttons. There might be a pic on headfi.
-
SGD35..pls call albert to reconfirm...same one as the DT880
-
bought one from Albert/Anything Audio. That little extra comfort for grado heads. 4 buttons and off you go... you definitely can DIY for less but its simplicity outweights the hassle of glue/foam...etc
