  1. Btw, I've always been puzzled by your avatar....What joystick is that?? Looks very old..
  2. Just joking....haha....Nah...No one's been over except for lekguan. I was like you as well. Ordered them online through ttvj during the special introductory price period. Couldn't wait, never could wait anyways.... For you, it'll cost $500 for auditioning at my place, airfare excluded...
  3. I would call it a close fight between the HD650 and the K701. Maybe the K701 has a little edge over the HD650. But the HD650 is hard to drive...You'll have to consider this point. The K701 is at 64 ohms and 105 for sensitivity. Thus its still alright if you're running them out of portables...But I doubt you'll do that...
  4. I don't mind at all. But I'am kinda doubting how well it sounds...I've never had any experience with China amps...

Not really. But having tried the AT lineup of clip ons, I've got to say they give me a sense of insecurity. Always have this feel as if the clip ons were going to drop of anytime....Maybe its a matter of getting used to I guess.
  6. Thats a girl. My favourite actress....How dare you question her about her gender! Hehe, just joking... No offence, but here in tokyo, even the uncles look like chio bu. You can never be too sure. Erm, are you sure you're alright?? Uncles look like pretty girls....
  7. So the K701's are out in Japan? Strange, the issue of K701 sounding thin has never been brought up before. Its actually more of a warm laidback lush sound. The SA5k I gotta agree with you. Its sounding too thin and cold and analytical for my liking..
  8. Hehe....Someone in hardwarezone....I think it was neutralz....
  9. Gosh, I sound like an Audio Technica Advocate.....Don't get me wrong I love Senns and AKGs as well...
  10. Cut it. Like I've said, you could always give the ES7 a try. They don't isolate as well but definitly not as hot/heavy/long cabled as the A900...

  12. But imo, 701 ain't as good as the HD650 in terms of comfort. The K701 has a bass that's definitly better than the 501, but loses out in terms of quantity to the HD650. Its tight and just decent enough if you're not a basshead. The K701 is definitly more upfront and the mids are smooth as butter. However the overall sound is still towards the laidback side. Highs are well defined and there wasn't any piercing highs. Details are well taken care of as well. The soundstage and imaging is pretty good also. Notable major plus plus is its airy sound that matches the AD2000 pretty well. Of course, the HD650 is a great pair of cans so the 701 isn't one that replaces it. The best way is to hear the cans for yourself and decide what you like. Oh, and before I forget, to me, the K701 isn't as comfortable as the HD650....The pads are simply way too hard....Guess I need to wear them more to soften them further.
  13. Nope, 701 is not bright at all. Need audition or help? PM me.

For reviews, try headfi.com. But your ears are always the most trustworthy, so get down to a electronic store with the sennheiser stand and give em' a try.
  15. Ok, back to the A900s, I'am pretty surprised that they sold out that fast/were in such a great demand thus running out of stock...I accompanied a friend down to Hung Brothers for a pair of A900 and I see that they had at least 2 or 3 in stock. Judging by the minusicle(did i spell that right?) market headphones get in Singapore, its a surprise they got all sold out within a period of less than 4 months. Also, have you guys heard of the cresyn earbuds and the pretty girl at sim lim square? Anyone knows whats that about? I'am more interested in the latter.
  16. Do you run your E5 cords behind your neck or over the front? I don't know if it makes a big difference but I've always worn my E5 cords to the front and found it to be pretty alright even if i was wearing shades... Maybe its also a matter of getting used to?
  17. Btw, guys, I took apart my Sony DCR-PC110E pal video cam. Its an old model I know but after taking apart, I think there's a slight cable disconnection somewhere that I can't find and the zoom as well as the focusing system ain't working properly. Any idea how much approximately will it cost to repair? I've heard that its gonna cost a bomb and I too feel the same way. Got my old Sony MD repaired last time as well and it costed me $120....
  18. You mean the whole amp and shipping's gonna cost RM650 to 700 or is it just shipping? I read the thread and it turned out to be RM900+ for the amp...
  19. I guess so.... Afterall, I bought quite a few of my cans overseas as well....
  20. Oh...I see. What's your budget? I think besides the A900, there's the DT770. I've not tried it personally so I can't comment on how it sounds. So like what others said, your could give the DT770 a try at Anything Audio down at Parklane mall. If you want portability as well as being closed + good looks + you're a bass head, I recommend Audio Techinca 2005's newest portable can, the ES7. There's two colours to choose from, black and white. The price is gonna be around 220 to 230 when it gets to our shore. I could give u an audition of this can if you want to. Just PM me...
  21. Btw, to the OP, have you sort of narrowed down your choices and decided on a few cans that you might consider? I mean, other than the A900, are there any other cans you would consider as well? I think that the HD595/HD555 is a pretty good choice too.
  22. They do carry Zu cables and Grado catridges as well....If u count that as accesories...
