BTW, AMB took out the cheaper Vishay mkt370 and replaced it with the more expensive mks2, thereby jacking up the price up to $29.10 for the whole set. MKS2 is cheaper locally

I have to agree with that, I did the mini3 as my first amp and nearly destroyed it, stuff like torn pads, opmap that were destroyed by overheating, shorts, etc. I think basically stuff that went wrong went wrong, but luckily managed to salvage it

Not advisable bro, there's SMD soldering to be done. You'll need a fine tip solder to do this project

Tentatively, it's just USD12 for the PCB but I'm considering adding stuff not easily available from farnell and RS like PCM2707PJT and WM8501, need to look at the BOM again and let you guys know again. If just this 3, price will be USD21.30 without shipping. Depending on the weight of the shipping, cost varies, AMB uses USPS. If package stays below 1 pound, its USD23/pound for shipping. Considering how volatile the currency rate is, cost will vary quite a bit too.

Yah, I m thinking of that too, the idea of buying 10 just to obtain 1 of the same part really puts me off this project. Really dunno wat to do wif the other 9....
