Drilling no prob oredi, we are using acrylic. So countersunk will be done by laser. BTW, i did consider what u have suggested, I saw an acrylic sheet at Art friend yesterday (4 plus only but seeing that the black shiny surface is easily tainted by fingerprints made me think twice....

Thanks loop, I'll give them a call but I doubt they sell in small amount, I only need a A4 sized acrylic. But gonna give it a try anyway.

Thanks for the comments so far A little update, Nicholas feedback that laser etch actually burns plastic thus turning whatever it burns white (by right), so we are back on track. Took a walk at bras basah Art friend just now, they don't sell matt black acrylic so we're stuck for now til I can find other sources. If anyone out there knows where to find a black, 2mm, A4 sized, matt surfaced acrylic. Do let me know, it will help alot

Thanks! I just realised one thing, if acrylic is used, there'll be no colour on the words unless gravoply is used. If gravoply is used, we'll need to countersunk the holes ourselves using a drill. LPPL... Anyway, I read his thread and he has a way of colour etching aluminium. I just asked Nicholas if he has any way of putting colours into words on acrylic using the same method, let's keep our fingers crossed.

Changed the design of the logo, AMB laboratories in the previous one looked too squash. This will be the final design used for the laser etching.

Yah I suppose, but I wouldn't want to shorten anymore battery life actually, no point shortening its life for the sake of aesthetics, its a audio amplifier after all, would rather use the battery life for its primary purpose. To make music sound better

Yah, I agree the internal LED is a good idea, Heady had the same idea too when I picked up my mini3 the other day, but i'm afraid the sockets might get in the way and effect might not be so nice. But anyway, we're still in anything goes stage and a way to get the word to glow using the LED might just work in the end. Keep fingers crossed... If gravoply is used, the countersunk will have to be drilled manually since it can't be laser etched. See how it goes, i just might end up doing it in acrylic with a matt surface to save the manual labour. I'll see if I can try to redesign it with icons instead, wish me luck

Ok, u're in Small update, finally sat down and figured out how to create the panel using vector graphic application (inkscape), gonna send the guy an email to see if he can use SVG files. BTW, are you guys OK with the design below? It's the best I could do to be as close to the original. Feel free to comment. Edit: add one more with sgheadphones logo (any copyright on this?)

I'm gonna go meet the guy with the casing and kit fully done up(hopefully can finish by this weekend...), to come up with a sample. You mind if I use your vector file (preferably with words) for the sample production? I'll take pix and put it up for you guys to see once that done. Bass turns muddy after i did that but should clear up after some burn in but that's only what I experience while modding a PC 2.1 sound system. Not too sure if it's the same for mini3 or not...
