Some says line out is better as there are no equaliser settings enabled and the sound coming out is more 'natural'. true...very true...using the lineout instead of the headphone out will give you a cleaner and crisper sound...

thanks for the input barradio...as from what ive read at headfi, the best sound that would come out from the hornet would be about after 300 hours of burn-in...

Don't really get it. Amps also have a burn-in period? Sigh... Just got my PA2V2 and seems that it does nothing much other than an expensive volume control. yes....amps need a burn-in period too, same like earphones...

just checked shure website...features and specs are exactly the same (G series and C black series)...so most probably just a marketing strategy

does the PA2V2 have adjustable gain? if so, it should work great with um2... as from the answers i got from headfi, they suggested i use an amp with adjustable gain (such as the hornet, headroom microamp, xin supermini3)... i ordered a xin supermini3 but saw that it would take at least a month to get it due to lots of backlogs for xin, so i just ordered the hornet from ray samuels at headfi, and it's even on promotion now!

i think its just the same as the "G" series...only difference is the name... features and specs same as G series...

thanks for the tip...i always feel that my um2's don't get the sound that they're supposed to....that's why i thought of buying an amp...
