  1. [razer] 10:24 pm: you stupid dumb a$$

[D2R2] 10:24 pm: I will remember you said that when robots take over the World.

oh man, this is the funniest thing! LOL

yah, i've tried talking to D2R2 about Star Wars and Robots. He's/It's really quite intelligent, and funny :)

  2. er... AIFF (Audio Interchange File Format) is lossless and uncompressed. AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) is lossy and compressed. which do you think is better quality?

on the other hand, depending on your equipment, music, tastes and hearing, there may not be much of a difference...

  3. I was thinking of getting a carrying case for my KSC75. The cord tended to tangle in my bag and it ran the risk of being crushed... so the best option was to get a tin. After hunting for a suitable tin, I finally found it:

I got a Ricola 100g round tin, cost about $2.95 from NTUC Fairprice in Bishan. The fit is really just right. It's like the tin was custom made to hold KSC75 :)

Anywayz, pls remember to eat the sweets and clean the tin b4 using to store your KSC75 ^_^ unless you like to have ants crawling all over your earphones... :ppth:

  4. I'm actually in the market to buy 1 of these (for my sis)... Aron had told me that the S'pore distributor would be bringing in a new batch at lower price... but i doubt they'll sell it for anywhere near this Amazon price... otoh, i do wanna support SE... sigh...

  5. Actually, during the recent Lucky Draw, one of the criteria for the Main Draw was to have posted more than 50 times... I didn't qualify for it then... :sigh:

So, it *may* be worthwhile to make boliao posts to boost your post count

  6. If you do a search for the Aurvana on this forum, you'll quickly see that it has received somewhat mixed reviews... it seems that there are better 'phones your money can buy...

edit: but having not tried them, i realised that i'm just spouting other people's opinions... hmm... ok, how about this: Trust No One :) only your own ears can tell what is best for you :cans: yah, and try b4 buy!

  7. i wonder why people register, then *don't* post anything. I mean, any1 can browse the forum without registering right? so, to take the effort to register and then not do anything with it, is kinda strange to me...

  8. i'm on the lookout for the 'best' portable closed headphone too... i guess it depends on how portable and how closed you want your headphone to be (and how much you're willing to pay for it :) ). i think it's debatable how 'portable' these professional monitoring headphones are. they're not really designed to be worn on the go, you know.

anyways, do give the AKG K81DJ a try. Of the few closed headphones i have heard, the K81DJ has been pretty impressive, esp considering the price. But again, bear in mind that they are not designed for portability...

truth be, i've not heard a closed phone that's as good as my trusty KSC75... maybe it's impossible (open vs closed etc), i dunno...

  9. They wear IEMs so that they can hear themselves. If you've ever been up on stage, you'll quickly realise that one big problem is that the speakers face *away* from you. With your band (esp the drummer) crashing around you, you can't hear a thing...

Thus, monitor speakers were needed. These face *towards* you so that you can hear yourself, to monitor what you're singing. But having extra speakers on stage means less space and more clutter...

So IEMs or "In Ear Monitors" were developed. That's one reason why IEMs have such excellent isolation.
