Nah, its the current production model; to be exact, this was from the batch before the actual 1st batch release but the design is the same. If you're talking about the one with the gold rim then that's the pre-production prototype that they sold for beta/market testing.

Yup, Echobusters actually but I'm still trying to find the best positions for them. Got 4 of them, placed 2 on the wall behind my sofa (which is against the back wall) and 2 behind my rack. I think I must have pretty bad hearing since I can't tell if they're doing what they are supposed to .... better not take my word on any impressions until I get my ears checked Am thinking maybe I need some diffusers behind the rack instead or perhaps a combo?

So far? Definitely not as dark as the O2. Good resolution and tonality. But give me somemore time with this baby before I can answer you on that.

Sold it some time ago before I got the O2. Didn't get a chance to compare them. Though, it was definitely easier to drive than the Lambda Pro, O2 & 4070. Regret not doing the comparison though. Now curious about the differences btw 404 & LNS. But someone in SG has the LNS though.

Well, bass on the O2 is definitely noticeable but it has that well known "darkness" to the sound. But there's definitely bass; more so than the other Stax phones I've heard (Lambda Pro, Lambda Nova Sig, 4070)

Nah, its the O2 MKI but I know someone here has the MKII though. Never had the 007t, only T1W, SRM1-MKII, SRD-7/MKII, 006t. Sold the SRD-7/MKII before I got the O2 but the BH definitely outshines the rest. The 006t was way underpowered to drive the O2 as well as the Lambda Pro.

you're referring to the Airtight? Got that for my K1Ks but ended up using for my speakers more. So the K1Ks kindof in storage, popping out once in a while. Ical, where'd you buy the room treatments from? thinking of getting some diffusers and absorption panels.

Seems to be a Lambda (non-pro) if I'm not mistaken. Very rare find that Srd7SB/MKII. Do count me in if anyone's going. Always wanted to hear the SHL-5 in a home environment.

The unit is already in 230V. I really doubt he'd change any tubes, perhaps caps that require change but I doubt tubes unless of course they're dead.

Have an O2 and bass is not a problem. The O2 MKII sounds similar so bass should be aplenty...
