Mine was the hiss. It irritated me alot. It occured like about once a minute. But only audible when the music level was low, or if I turned the volume completely down. I'm praying that this problem won't come back.

I travel to Penang for work quite frequently. Come to think of it, I hardly see anyone wearing earphones nor headphones. At the workplace yes, but not on the streets or in the malls.

Maybe that's why the winning bid is low, most of the cost goes into the shipping. But at 255.95 SGD still seems like a good price. I think some people bought it from other sources at around S$300. A second hand unit will cost around $200. Anyway I've noticed that you're also considering the iCute amps. If possible try to audition the amps and see which you like most. Good luck to your search
