What do you mean better? In what ways? I don't really mind whether its closed or open design, just want something that sounds best for my type of music. Was gonna go for MS1s but heard the DJs are better for all round music and its bass is great for chill, electronica and DnB, which is what I listen to most. True that MS1s have better detail? Heard they're more biased to the mids and highs...

I was considering MS1s, but after reading this thread and others at headfi, I'm leaning towards K81DJs. How do they compare side-to-side low-mid-highs? Sorry, its a bit off topic... edit: Anyone tried the K181DJ? Are they same price/spec/size/sound?

The shure ones damn heavy resistence leh. I think just stick to afbug's 75 ohm reccommandation. Can't go wrong!

U tried largest soft flex? Maybe can mod foams under the tips for better fit.

I mod my tri flange into bi. Doesn't go so deep, so more comfy. Also is the best seal I get after complys.

I'm considering to get an amp for my um1s, but a cheaper one, since it'll be my first and I'm saving up for a pair of MS1s. Are there any other good portable amps available in Jaben or SE that are under $100? I think LDM+ is going for $60? But its bass is a bit lean? Since you guys seem to like it, I might just get it. Are there any other worthy alternatives?

Sigh...I'm outstation all the time, really wish I could go down one day and just test everything till my ears blow out... BUT, the good thing is I'm able to save up a bit more this way so when I do go, heheheh...

I think I may be ever so slightly deformed. Still not getting a good fit even with the bi-flanges. My RHS keeps breaking the seal when I move my head or my jaws. And complys get so icky after a sweaty day out. Sigh...

I have foobar. Just open the files in foobar and convert? .flac to mp3 I mean.
