  1. Cool, I bought my at RRP, and I selling at a loss, so unless you're looking at sharing where you got it, what a deed to thrash someone else's thread.
  2. Looking to sell my 3 months old UE Sf5Pro. Condition: 9/10 Usage: Around 1 hour/week Contact: Slivester 90031670 via SMS Looking to sell at around S$300.
  3. Let me barge in a little: Try the mid-size flanges or the foams again. With the foams, deflat them before insertion. After which, hold it at your ears for around 10 seconds to let the foam set a tight seal. Hope that works for you.
  4. I was wondering if anyone have tried rockbox on iPod 5.5G? Well, I was roaming the rockbox site, then I thought what the hell, since uninstallation is as easy as installing, no harm trying. Will be back with more details, and some screenshoots.
  5. Man I just busted the wires of my 7 months old Altec Lansing. Will be sometime before I get used to not having this piece of great engineering with me. Was wondering if I can send to anyone for repairs? I got it from Stereo Electronics in December 2006. Greatly appreciate any form of help, thanks!

    Fake Ipod

Font used were wrong. Thats too apparent. Apple is too picky when it comes to typography, so thats a guaranteed give away.
  7. Hello, will it be possible for me to get in for the first batch? I am looking for the LDM+, black, normal gain. Contact: 90031670.
  8. Agree with the impedance portion, at the sacrifice of bass response though.
  9. Nano 2. Check out its stats on Apple's site. Do a comparison, you will get a rough idea.
  10. The first thought that came into my mind when I tried my gf's PSP with my SF5Pro: Waste of $ to get such a dedicated piece of IEM. Definitely not worth it to get a sensitive IEM like SF5Pro to couple with your PSP. The hiss and lack of amplification will probably kill you. IMHO, PSP really got to work on their audio playing capabilities, frankly, its worst than the Sony Ericsson walkman phones, lol. Just get canalphone or something more economical, I don't see the need to plunge in so many $ for the device.

    Foams

What about in terms of noise isolation?
  12. I need a voice recorder most of the time, recording down sudden ideas or speeches, thats essential to me, but I don't want my audio player to do that, I prefer a dedicated device for that sort of work. Zune is quite a disaster really, even at this stage. The unworthy design, the exceptionally unnecessary big screen; Zune have limited video playability, so that again, render it useless. Above all, its heavier, bigger and much an eye sore compared to iPod. Lol. That alone, no way man. Perhaps we should watch out for its second generation, if theres any.
  13. Rockbox for Zune? Lol. Probably 3~4 years later.
  14. Mid-2007 for Europe, so Asia? Probably 2008 or never, since we are either too Creative or Apple. Hard for a fight, even Samsung and other market player like Cowon and iRiver can't get in for a fight. Sound quality, theres many issue from the reviews on the web now, regarding DRM, the wifi-sending limited 3 plays in 3 days, limited music/video content, unresponsive interface, heavy and huge, same capacity with 30GB iPod with Video yet heavier and bulkier. Perhaps the worst of all, its available colours just simply don't work. Dark brown?

    Foams

Just acquired an iM716. Where to get foams that are better in isolation than those included with the package, and what kind?

    Xmod

Ah thanks pal. Anymore first hand experiences?

How does it fare, in terms of sound quality improvement and portability?

    AL IM716!

Agree that somehow that iM716 can be uncomfortable at times, but once I switched to foam, seal improved and bass enhanced compared to the use of the tri-flanges - perhaps it doesn't suits me.
  20. Great IEM. Got it from a friend to play with, found that the stock foams are not entirely prefect in sealing. I am preparing to custom built a couple of foam and see if the sound improves. Initial impressions: Great bass response and quality! Even though its rather hard to drive with my iPod, still its a very pleasurable listening session with im716. The tri-flanges are too uncomfortable for my liking, and went on with the foams.
  21. In fact, most of the factory EQ settings are slightly off, agree that rockboxed iPods will do well.
