I guess if the UE sound signature is wad you like, the triple.fi's would sound god like and u will feel that the e500 pales in comparison. Personal prefrence at a lower price.... whoa good deal man... (for team ultimale ears that is )

Dude, again, try them out before u decide on anything. They should sound great but they're too BIG for my liking...

When using line out, the sound produced would be at maximum volume of the ipod. I dun think there is a diff. in the volume.

When u plug the ipod in, is it working? Can it be raed as a portable hard disk? Maybe you could format the hardrive then send it in. And/or try reloading rockbox or remove rockbox. If they all fail. Dip the damn thing in water and dry it up and send it in Or turn it on and shake the ipod long and hard as the hardisk is moving. Pray for a bad sector to appear.. lol

I heard them and you would be much better off with a um1. Listen to them yourself and make the decision on ur own. trust ur ears. u might like them for all i noe.. even though it would most probably not be the case.

Why don't you go for iem's? have u tried them out yet? They provide isolation and have very strong bass without losing much on the upper end...(some of them...) Upgrade your sonys... lol I think you are better off streching your budget a little and get headphones round 200+ that area. Then upgradsitis wont hit u that quickly... lol But, then you will eventually have to buy an amp and interconnect even if those cans can be driven by a dap, u will feel the need to amp it eventually. Think about future spendature first. lol

I don't suggest you go for the 900s, unless they're your ultimate dream cans. Save up for something on the higher end. Don't play the upgrade game and lose money in the end.

After some burn in, the bass starts to get louder and the highs less piercing. However when i listened to some bass heavy songs with eq on acoustic, the bass was loud and messy, uncontolled and overpowering. Then i switched to a classical piece. Sounded GREAT. aside from the slight pierce during the violin solos' highs... They're no sf5's but they're great for school use.

Plug them headphones into your amp and full blast it when he is wearing it. Only then it is considered full blast. See wad he make of it... lol btw, where did you get that amp from anyway?

Most of my friends are like that. Today one of them critisized the ksc75s... he was using stock buds... Maybe it's a personal preference kinda thing..
