IEMs are small and thus cant haf the sophisticated driver that headphones have. Thats proberbly y stax uses a headphone instead. As the rest have pointed out IEMs are the way if u want noise cancelling. Plus they are small and portable. Hence suitable for air travel. Gd IEMs are like shure,UE and westone. U can get most of the models under $300. Haha but their flightship models cost much more than 300.

Deep bass and noise cancelling? Haha try IEMs man. They will do the job. How abt beyer DTX50 or the Myler editions? Both can cancel abt 15 dbs.

Well many ppl have said the Px100 is better than the PX200, even thought it is cheaper. I agree with Singapura that IEMS will be better for $ if u are thinking of below $150. But the PX100 is also not bad its about $70 plus i believe. A gd entry mini( its not a full headphone) headphone for its price. Plus its foldable!

Perhaps u can get a portable player with a line out? That way it does more wonders with a amp, instead of double amping. Wish u all the best!

Haha when u burn in just make sure that u are not caught by any other family members. I was caught so many times by my mum and she was like nagging that i "forgot" to switch off me player. Actually i was burning my Marantz and Sennheiser HD580. And i left it on for like 5 straight days! Imagine the amount of of electricity used!

I too got a myler3. I dun know if ppl here agree with me when i say they are almost as gd as the UE superfi pro. Haha and it is like a fraction of its price.

True but the circuitry of powered amps have can do more wonders generally and can better drive headphones. Much like comparing IEM to headphones. Anyway the powewr condtioners i dun think are that cheap like $70? HAha i always thought they cost more.

Erh dun u think it is unfair to compare the powered go-vide(desktop amp) to a portable TH? Cos power ones tend to haf more sophisticated circuitry and perhaps more juice to drive the phone's driver?

I have seen and tested jaben's range. But the stero electronics i havent gone down yet. Ya i meant the mini interconnect between me amp and my zen. I saw the classified and the others like got silver ultimate range and so many others. haha so confusing. I prefer a balance cable like the grey phoenix and the mamba one at jaben. I wish to know which ones at stero can match if now better those 2. Haha any info?

erh wat are braids? And what kind of soldering do u use? I heard it affects the sound. Cos i was thinking of making custom IC myself demonicAngelz must educate me on this. Thx dude. Btw mixture of silver and copper is gd rite. That way takes care of the bass and the trebles. Am i rite?
