I think synergy between the earphones with the amp is important. X1 would pair well with a ER-4P/S because X1 by itself is bassy and ER-4P/S is famous for being lean on bass. On the other hand, PX100 is bassy and add another bassy bass, it might not be synergistic.

Have the above mentioned for sale. Bought it on the 18 Dec 06. Comes with receipt. Seldom used. Asking for $150.
