Just wondering anyone tried other brands such as Zhaolu DAC 2.5 or even Trends UD-10? Looking at something for the computer to act as a digital transport.

Though the DAC in the DAP plays a part, i think what you should be looking at is the headphones/earphones that you auditon with.

i think get an external DAC, xi fi is for gaming and not audio.

The only thing that keeps me away from IEM is the ear buds, not really incline to have earwax when you pull it out. But i guess i'll give it a try if i can. I guess i'm used to loud music that way i can hear every note and tone articulate properly, could be the guitarist background influence but anyhow i find i can't pick up any details.

No need high end, just need one to drive a decent sounding can since its a portable rig.

Tried the MS1 today, absolutely loved it Any other recommendations, i think the alessandro/grado line cans are just right for me. Also i think my DAP not enough power to drive it, have to push it to near max for the MS1 to sing properly. Thinking of a Portable headamp, any recommendations? And what time do Jaben open? i went there at 1 today still close..Zzzz

So grados? But what i'm afraid is that when i sweat, the foam absorbs it and it gets really stink after awhile. Is it interchangeable the foams so that i can wash it?

i'm looking at $300-400 for amp and headphones. Reckon that since i'm on a move often, i'd invest in something i can use on a daily basis.

Bit of a noob to the Can world, but i'm thinking of retiring my ATH-F55. It served me well and it doesn't stinks from sweat. Anyone can recommend me some nice cans that are used on the go? Build for abuse and doesn't have sweat absorbing material. Oh i'm using X5L, theres no need for an amp right?
