    For now, 600/Prehead.
  1. Barradio, I believe that. I've heard that on Head-fi as well. Got them yesterday, and with my current set up they are AMAZING. All I can say is detail and dynamics. Out of the prehead they emit a tight, crisp sound full of vibrancy, and bass as well. I've always thought these to be somewhat bass deficient in the past, not anymore. With the OTL 32 the vibrancy is harnessed just a touch, with a little more lushness added to the bass, as well as smoothness. I like them a lot. The only thing I think they lack somewhat is depth, but that's what I have the HD600's for.
  2. I'll be getting a pair to try them with the Corda Prehead and the ASL OTL32. I've tried them a number of times with a number of amps and really found them bright (except when paired with the Earmax Pro). Now that I have some "serious amplification", I'm interested to hear what they can do. They are definitely amp fussy, but the people I know who've found the right setup for them absolutely love them.
  3. I had the chance to directly compare the V1 and V2 at out NY Head-Fi meet, and to be honest, the only difference I really heard was that the V2 had a higher gain. This was a basic "stock" V2 from what I understand, using the 600's (Cardas) and the DT880's. Having said that, the V1 was a steal for the price. Great amp.
  4. Ironically, the thing about the SACD format is that it's somewhat of an attempt to get back to the vinyl sound. I just think Sony's money would've been better spent if they had put more into the existing SACD technology (mainly software), and then once it was firmly established as THE hi res format, then take it to the next level.
  5. Wow. Thanks so much everyone, I can't tell you how I appreciate it. It's going to be fun here, I can tell.
  6. Hello, I'm new here, although some of you may know me from Head-fI. How is everyone? Just want to thank Rameish for inviting me here to be a part of youre community. I hope to add to it.
  7. I just don't understand the need for it since SACD hasn't even really gotten off of the ground. Doesn't Sony have anything else to do?
