  1. I'll likely order a Pico, but I'm using a relatively modest MDR-EX90 with it and may end up upgrading this to get the best from it or use my Beyer 880 when not traveling.

I've yet to try one and to be frank, quite hard to believe that the sound is that great looking at the teeny size. However, it looks like something I can conveniently deploy anytime and anywhere.

It actually looks good in a utilitarian way. IMHO, the best looking after the Larocco.

Which colour did you picked? BTW, how much does it cost to send them to Sg?

  2. Has anyone finally compared the Pico to the iQube? For the Pico, is there a huge price dif between Jaben & direct from Justin?

The design team for iQube looks impressive but the Pico seems so much more versatile with the USB DAC. Makes a great travel companion with a good pair of IEM.

  3. Thanks to tbln for graciously hosting us and the rest of you for making this an informative and enjoyable meet.

It was pure headphone orgy and I was a little groggy after the meet due of too much intense listening. The sheer number of good headphones available for audition at the meet is incredible; same models even comes with dif cables to compare!

I was impressed with the Apache's lightning quick, rock steady sound and dead silent background. Fabulous with the balanced RAL cabled 650. Whoever thinks solid state is uninvolving should try this rig.

On the Dana, the PS1 is both dynamic & liquid - though the bass is not behaving at its best, I can see what the fuss is about. The AD2000 is also superb with the Dana. I'm not a fan of the CA840; too dry and lean for my taste and I highly suspect the Dana could have sounded even better with a more analog sounding source.

The L3000 is simply gorgeous to touch and look at.

not the cheapest but apparently outperforms cables which are much more expensive.....

BUYER BEWARE: cables are system sensitive... bear that in mind b4 paying loads of money based on recommendations/reviews.....

Read the X1 review on Positive Feedback, sounds like a discription of the Goertz Micropurl Silver I'm using; killer details and soundstaging but low treble a touch lean. Email me if someone has the X1 and like to A/B

  5. I've been trying out quite a few cables over the past year but still using Belden 89207.

Found quite a few lower end branded I/Cs that are better at some areas but still lose the 89207 in some aspect; at least on my system.

It usually lose in the area of soundstage depth and pinpoint imaging which is a little vague. may not be a severe problem on a headphone system. I ordered mine from LHS with Neutrik Profile connectors. Cheap enough to give it a try before spending more.

  6. Their connectors are using SE's design, how did you guys managed to use your own headphones? Do they have an adaptor?

I may also stream it to my hifi with one of the Wifi or A2DP Bluetooth streamer but not sure if the noise you guys mentioned will be heard. This way, I have the same playlist when I reach home.

This one will look great with the Usher 520 speaker. http://www.wimenow.com/product_kurve.htm
