I don't think its spoiled.. Something wrong with my eyes. Tested with my friend's sony canal earphone. There is also this slight zzZzZzz sound.

There are still some crackles when I played the music from my computer sound card. I don't know is it my mp3 player, so, I'll be borrowing my friend's sony canal earphone tomorrow to test my mp3 player.

When I on my mp3 player, there will be a noticeable hissing sound. But, when i plugged my old senn hd497 headphone in, there is no hissing sound (complete silence), when I on my mp3 player. And there are some "crackings" on the left channel (only left) when the in-earphones are played at higher volume. Is there anything wrong with my earphones?

You really have to listen to each together with the appropriate amplification to determine which you prefer. Note that headamps can change the sound dramatically, from One possibility is a complete Grado setup, GR60 plus the Grado amp. Even one of the portable amps will work fine - Cmoy, headsave, mint meta, etc... You really have to listen to the actual setup, so attending the meet would help you get there really quick. Therefore, I would like to sell away my pm2.1 and to buy a new headphone (cans?). I understand that better headphones need an amp to power it, like the hd600. I have a budget of $600-$800.
