    MDR-770LP

Anyone tried this yet? http://www.sony.com.sg/product/mdr-770lp Was thinking of getting this for on the go usage, but it doesn't seem very capable of noise isolating... Btw, found an interesting website: http://weloveheadphonegirls.tistory.com/?page=1
  2. Yup, quite sure everything is correct... Dam, tt means i got to buy a multimeter? Rather steal one from the school lab, I'm broke -.-
  3. Sigh, kind of gave up for a while, exams over now... Think i'll try again. How to tell if its a cold solder? I didn't take a pic of the soldering on the second one before i got pissed and melted down all the solder and screwed up the board. [attachmentid=4019]
  4. Confused Wads the REAL reason? EDIT: Zzz... Failed again... Even though i made sure to solder super carefully, there was no sound at all, only when the tip of the jack is inside, then theres a faint sound... Sian!!!!!
  5. Hmm, thx for the soldering tip Oh, the insides are ugly, all mashed up...
  6. Oh, so for now i guess i should wipe stuff clean before soldering, been using the parts straight out of the plastic bag so far Edit: Doh' I realised one of the capacitors on the first amp i made was positioned wrongly, think tt caused the fireworks...
  7. Thx Hmm, is it normal tt the solder doesn't stick to wad i want it to stick to?
  8. [attachmentid=4010] Sigh at least it looks good, got 2 sets of components from Koba yesterday, ready for round 2! Edit: Crap, the uncle at koba got me the wrong VRs, would 50k still work?
  9. Thx for the tip Sigh, everything went wrong after i put it into the casing, some soldered points broke and the LED suddenly couldn't light up... I soldered everything back, then the amp worked for awhile, but fuzzy noise, then it blew out my earphones and i think the OpAmp smelled like it was burnt... Sian, gotta buy all the parts again and go for round 2...
  10. Thanks I got a OpAmp, LM358N, and the dual pot. Going to wire up everything soon. Is it a problem that the LED is super dim? Edit: Dam, theres a super strong buzzing noise, and i dun really hear a diff in sq Edit: Sigh, the connections at the pot are all loose, giving me problems, hard to solder there... Waa
  11. Oh no, shipping fee required for national.com -.- Sian, its way more ex than any OpAmp... Oh, on here! --> http://bp2.blogger.com/_0URxOBSyTPQ/R4TeO0...0-h/Slide18.JPG
  12. Oh, wrong pot -.- Hmm, but whichever goes to earth doesn't matter? Hmm, but on williamneo blog, the po has only 5 connections... Can the earths be grouped into just one connection? Thx Umm, sigh gotta make a trip down to SLT again... When is federal open?
  13. Where do you guys get the DIP AD op amps? SLT like dun have, farnell.com also can't find
  14. When you signed up, were you truthful? Anyway, how come all the samples no stock You must have sampled everything -.-
  15. How should i wire up the volume control if mine has 3 pins instead of 2? Crap, image doesn't show... http://behindamaskoflies.blogspot.com/2008...onic-parts.html And i have no idea which wire goes where for the stereo jack, now i can't do much till i find out... Soldering happy faces on my calculator -.-
  16. Umm, need help... How do you noe which is plus or minus on the capacitors? The long end and short end... EDIT: Umm nvm, i think the long end should be positive, i think... Anyway its not like it'll explode if it's wrong Ugh, soldering near the ic socket is hard...
  17. Rarghh!!! I can't even get the LED to light up Sian... I dun see any faults in the soldering... Edit: LOL, i used the wrong connections on the switch -.- Sigh, hope the rest will go smooth...
  18. Cool, how do you do tt? Oh, umm my soldering so far has been a nightmare... No solder sucker, wasted a lot of holes -.-
  19. Oh great, i got all he parts for the williamneo one, but no Op-Amp... I went round asking for Op-Amp at SLT, the ppl there just looked at me like i was an idiot, some asked "wad number" so i said AD8066, then they straight away say dun have -.- Walked super long but didn't get all the parts... Where to get? Thx for the recommendation on the sweets... I thinking of using the smallest i can fit the thing in, probably super large cos i'm noob at soldering...
  20. Hmm, not familiar with SLT, which store sells everything? I'm gonna DO IT!!! Wish me good luck Edit: ZZZ, I'm screwed, no electronic knowledge at all -.- Sob... How am i supposed to set up the circuit board on my own...
