Thanks for all the advice guys. I got my ATH-A500 and have been using it for a month now. I think its a decent entry point for anybody looking to upgrade from cheapo headphones. Together with my newly bought X-fi Titanium soundcard, i can heard a world of a difference from my previous $20 cheapo headphones + Onboard Sound.

Went down to stereo electronics to get my A500. I remembered some of the prices. ATH-A500 $149 ATH-AD500 $129 ATH-A700 $189 ATH-A900 $269 Can't really remb the rest though

ATH-A900 is way over my budget at $200++. Will be looking at the ATH-A500 and A700 instead. Saw many good reviews on them

Hi, Newbie here. Looking for headphones mainly for gaming, and occasionally for movies. Budget of around $100, <$150. I read around the net and have heard about jaben and stereo electronics as the places to go for audition. Any Suggestions on which headphones and what to looking out for?
