Ito, his 740C is not normal. His is a fully Effective Audio modded which eat 840C for breakfast. Cost of mod alone is about the same as the player. wow!haish..die..now my breakfast have been eating AIR for about the past 6 months already..lucky he not selling..if not i also bo lui whack..haha..have about $700 for a CDP now

i also bought about 200 CDs now..difficult to convert actually..but i do have a turntable coming in soon which will be a Linn Sondek LP12 with Naim ARO tonearm installed..from my uncle and about 100 classical vinyl for my 21st bday..hope i am not poisoned..

nvm nvm kachui,i am going tolook for new CDP soon,might just whack it new from shop..thinking of going the diva cdp too but then,there is no more mongoose,unless i am able to find it in 2nd hand market and i need to get qicone,also have to look for them..diva cdp,everything have to get from 2nd hand market or buy from steve le. that is why i am thinking of getting the cambridge 740c as i do not need the balanced output.so yah..

haha,that is why i saying just what i find only..there is always different opinion in this world..i say this ,you say that..but afterall..whatever way that suit the user will be best..as the user is the one who are going to listen to the rig..

i am not any shi fu here but i would say..by using a cheap cdp like mine,i compared to imod,diymod,DAC with music ripped from original CDs..i still find that my cheap CDP with the orginal CDs sound better on the overall..less to say if you go to turntable later on.. DAC wise,i still believe that even though you ripped the CDs at 1411 WAV format and run through the DAC,i still find that it dun touch the sound of the CDP with original CDs just my 2 cents though
