Thanks to courtesy and warm welcome of our friend,Jojo Thank you my bro!! we able to audit and test various cans on the mightly Apache... well with some powercords matching Headsets used and tested on it....still single ended but Jojo will get everything balanced out for the cans by next week hopefully 1)Hd800 9/10 (super bass hitting hard and very crispy,analog smooth highs with warm midrange)(not warm as tube favor) 2)Hd650 valgrind set modded 8.5/10 (bass hit deep/hard with fuller bottom range and great for classical music/slow vocal music..midrange is still unbeatable for these headset) 3)Hd600 with Equinox cable 8.5/10 (very balanced,fast,artitucale but not as fast as hd800 or wide ) great for everything u throw at it!! 4)Akg 701 recabled and modded 8/10(Highs r a bit shrilling on ears/but has precision as good Hd800 with dynamic bass rush!!!) 5)Grados HF2 9/10 (personally i not a grado fan but pair with the apache it has the bass,speed and clarity of some of the best grado's cans ever produced....) Powercords and interconnects tried and tested 1)Blacksand Statement 1 2)Nordost Vishnu 3)Blacksand Silver Reference MK4 & MK5 4)Blacksand Violet Z1 5)Nordost Frey, Baldur XLR interconnects,Cardas Golden Cross 6)KingRex Psu with Accoustic Revival R-77 silver SCX Dc cords Now to actual impression apache is 1 solid built tank and the comestic appearance is second to none i dun mind getting 1 for myself jus for looks hehe but wat shook me away is the BASSS on the beast.....it shook my inner senses with the HD800....it come back and hit me again with decays....super deep bass with a lot of impactful tight bass... HF2 was very well controlled with it and i think Kid5000 was impressed with it HD650 and Hd600 stood it's ground but mostly they still single ended ...cant wait to c them r fully balanced.... k701 was a bit shrill on the highs but nevertheless it is very good match with it, super soundstage and a lot of dynamic bass took Jojo a number of tries to get the matching rite but i believe the best combination is MK4 to Cdp, Silver Reference Mk5 to MagicDac and Statement to Rsa Apache....wat suprised me was the Hd800 i were listening to it had their dynamic range bass back and midrange warmth...highs are very smooth and crispy ...soundstage is much easily to pick up the instruments without any haze and veils Jojo bro...u got yurself a very good amp and u r there already ...

actually i got the dt880 600 ohms already and i jus waiting it to shipped back to me...send for modding and recabling jojo dun get it 1st wait for my beyer to come then we can test kau kau on yur amp and ahem HP4 been experimented on and found out that the best combination cable for it....

hehe jojo yur amp shouldnt have any problem driving both of them when they r balanced.... actually i love beyer but they dont go around publizing their products over the market...take a good example their dt990,dt880,dt770 the manufacturer series...600 ohms r actually very good when they r DRIVEN properly... personally a few of us heard the potential of beyer dt880/600ohm driven by Ear HP4 ...a lot of jaws dropping that day and i still remember it pawned my all headset topsides...and much closer to Stax range

actually akg is annoucing a new successor for k701/702.... i jus hoping they release back the k1000 to market.... then we have a truly high end cans to compete on the market.....T1,Hd800,Ed8,K1001?,Ps1000, and when audio Technica coming out with a new flagship can?

hmm guys ... look wat i found around the beyerdynamic's site... apparently they already annouced the new beyerdynamic flagship cans to compete with HD800... agree imagine dragging those heavy duty and expensive rigs .... not to mention footers,tweaks, rr-77 and other powercords and interconnects....make me shiver just to think about it...

actually it is not u uber i meant hsome1 and he at last succumbed to rr-77 and now pasting every Qr-8s on his cdp and powercords and u aledi got a distributor lol btw at large number of us aledi got HD800 and Hf-2 is coming soon.... any meet in near future?...apache,and some others goodies as well...ahem HP4

ttvj is very rich for my blood lol for that price i rather get Balancing Act Zana Deus.. just half of the price thanks for kind words calvin and i glad we have a friend been through this before and able to give advice u have a point there Calvin ...but on the bright side , all my powercords and cables r sorted out so i wont be hunting for 1 for a long time and since i ahem perfectly safe from powercords and cables...will take something really out of the world and very extremely poisonous to poison me... the next thing i could upgrade is the amp and mod my dac...my next step of enlightment

lol well u know me well but when i really go for it ... be patient is the way of Jedi.....not so easily to be persuade to dark side and be careful on mind tricks.... well they r another league ler and u r correct on 3 of them haha 1 hard to please, other is stax fan and 1 more over-cautious on choosing amp.. well we also got cables/powercords fanatics here, RSA die hard fan, tube rolling die hard fan, 1 very skeptical on tweaks and still doubting how the heck the rr-77 works on his room with Qrs-8s as well still deciding on distributor whether which wan to go for ... but add them together we can go along well and still become friends and passionate bout music and sharing thoughts and auditing each and other's masterpieces

well guys never heard that good things come last to who waits patiently ? i may be slow but i wan to make sure that i have 1 versatible amp ( hopefully i wont regret it )to drive all my cans including low impedance and my crazy power hungry cans.. beside wooaudio only accepting order for wa22 only on September....
