  1. Koss.. the Plugh... Boomy, overloaded bass, thick, syrupy midrange... and a treble that is sibilant, and also has a very steep roll off... all in all, nasty nasty, nasty... Stay away!

  3. HeadphoneCrazy... I have a D5 The only Discman I know with a 110% TRUE line out
  4. lol... somehow I don't think you EJ1000 and EJ2000 lovers care about the sound quality
  5. lol Mat, The time I send you a D515 is the day you give me a D-J50 for free Damn, i've gotta stop buying up PCDPs haven't I
  6. Thanks N@Z & Jason... ...Was a little worried, because the only translation I could find was for a Japanese flower pot... and that had me a little worried (if you hadn't gathered, it was myself that sent the remote to matbon
  7. Mat... May I ask what a 'kaki' is?? Just curious
  8. Why don't I believe the 'Users who have bought this item have also bought' section?? Also, they're waiting for stock, I have a funny feeling that they'll be waiting for a long time... wouldn't get your hopes up anyone
  9. Tee... Here we go: Multi-loop/META42 amp Burr Brown OPA627 op-amps Stacked EL2001 buffers Current source to bias to Class A Elna Cerafine 470uF/25v PS caps WIMA 6.8uF/50v reservoir caps Alps Blue Velvet 50k ohm potentiometer Cardas gold plated RCA inputs Vishay/Dale RN55D 1/8w resistors, hand matched Neutrik 1/4" locking headphone jack (jacks and sockets treated with) Caig's ProGold Oh, and my favourite setup... depends what you mean, I have two.. one for the fun value, which is my D211 Discman, and Koss KSC-35s... and for if I want to sit down and have a proper listen to music, its my RS1 setup... although i'm in chronic need of a new source... this budget Sony CDP whilst actually not being too bad, is far from the grade of equipment needed to make the RS1s sing
  10. Hmm... two setups, one (two thirds of the way to being) reference, one not so reference (but more enjoyable ) Setup 1) Sony CDP-XE570 CD Player, AudioQuest Quartz III Interconnect, Top Spec META42 & Grado RS1 Setup 2) Sony D211 Discman & Koss KSC-35
