  1. One set of RS-65 for sale, completely brand new and unused, with unfilled warranty. (SOLD) Links: http://reviews.cnet.com/Sennheiser_RS65/45..._7-9979912.html http://www.dansdata.com/rs65.htm
  2. As mentioned, I can't remember where exactly I read about it, could be from a e-retailer's website, or in some forum. If I come across it again, I will post the source, but based on what jmilo posted, I think I read 'facelift only' in-between the lines. Correct me if I'm wrong. I think I will go down and try the new dt880 only after they have broken in (maybe one month later?). That way, it would be much more fair vs my current 880s in terms of comparison.
  3. I think I remember reading somewhere that the dt880 is just a facelift, but I could be wrong...but hey, I still like the old design more, plus the aluminium box.. It is the dt990 that is likely to get more than a facelift, now that it is in the top spot of the line-up.
  4. based on the sms I received as well, the price of the dt880 is $399. No mention of the new dt990. I sure would like to know the price of the new dt990 as well..
  5. Lucky you... So I guess really all sold out at this moment.
  6. got mine & the creek drives them real well.... if you actually got one at $299 after my posting, then I guess I was misinformed...sorry about it. But if you reserved a set prior to my post, then my info should be correct...
  7. Original and new Beyerdynamic 5m extension cable, totally unused. Selling as I have two of them and only need one. $15 fixed. Self collect at my place in Hougang. Call or sms 97459189 if interested. Thank you, and have a nice day!
  8. unless I'm mistaken, the DT880 is now sold out at Anything Audio.
  9. I have tried it in regards to home theater application, and only slight difference in sq, being with the extension it sounded less forward. Note I don't have picky or golden ears, so not 'trained' to listen to differences! Perhaps with critical listening it would degrade the sq further...likelyhood because of the length and gauge of the extension cable.
  10. Sorry to bring this topic back up, but in relation to the above quote, I toyed around with the ha20 and found that if 'bi-amped' (running one pair of headphones through both headphone jacks) it sounded different: - through 1 jack: very airy and light on the higher freqs, but reasonably detailed, decent bass details, but notably weak sounding throughout. - through 2 jacks: slightly less airy, more forward-sounding, very much more detailed, definitely more bass (lower regions), fuller sounding. Through either way, there is not much midbass emphasis, and my personal take is that this amp should sound good with classical/instrumental and perhaps even some vocals. The possibility of fuller sound could be because the headphones is able to tap more power from both jacks with the use of a fabricated y-cable (think each jack/channel only 100mw, iirc). It can be said that the ha20 is a detailed and bright amp, since my observations were made from beyer cans. Change in interconnects also brings out different characteristics in the sound. Only one thing is quite concerning, and that is the supplied power adaptor gets quite hot whether run from 1 jack, 2 jacks or even with headphone unplugged...might have to consider putting a heatsink on it. But if Stereo Electronics can leave them on all the time with no problem (yes?), I think no cause to worry. Other than that, it sure looks good visually (blue led and all) and is a no-brainer price to try. Note that ymmv, as I'm a newbie to head-fi!
