  1. Hi all, juz want to share my impression on shure se425. I own Ue TF10 and Ue superfi 5vi, I am a big fan of UE as I love the sound signature. But after sometime I decided to try out shure. So I got se425 which is within my budget. After a week of intensive usage, I came to some conclusion on se425. Initially when I used se425, I felt that the sound was muddy( not very muddy, but not as clear I expected), so I decided to burn in. After abt 40hours of burnt in, it's much much clearer and brighter. Bit strange for an armature driver requires burn in. After the burn in, it sounds very good man. Compared to tf10, the sound produced is less 'colored', it's flat. It is diff from tf10 which emphasize on the fast and sharp treble. I enjoy listening to tf10 and love the se425's sound. So, conclusion, I am impressed with shure se425. I will recommend to those who is looking for 'true' sound experience. For the bassy, sorry man, this is not for u.
  2. omg~ custom~ so tempting to reshell my tf10. can i know where u guys did ur custom? is it good to do it at null audio? anyone knows how long the custom will take? and do null audio provide impression for ears FOC?
  3. Does e5 really help? Becoz i cant hear much bass when i am listening to Iron maiden (their bass supposed to be very heavy) with my ipod+tf10. And it clarity isnt very good. I draw to the conclusion that the player is not good becoz i own a pair of MF220 too. The clarity and bass that is produced by MF220 and TF10 isnt a great diff. therefore i felt that the problem lays with the player. Btw, i using comply foam for both phones, i know i did have a good seal. Do you have any EQ setting when u use ur ipod? i should check it out thx
  4. Hi all, i current having ipod 5th gen. But it sounds really bad when i go with my TF10. therefore i am looking for a new mp3 player. Any suggestion? i do not need fanciful features, i juz need a decent player most importantly is the sound produced and with at least 32gb of memory. Cowon S9 is too fanciful for me. Sony X series is too expensive for me..
  5. but the olives is smaller right? so need to cut off the core to fit in tf10 right? sounds like ES2 cable really better man. this weekend go down to Stereo to fix it
  6. Hi all, i juz got UE TF10, so i am a noob to it. after listening it for 5 days i have some doubts with it. if anyone has the same experiences, do u mind sharing? 1) Currently i m using the comply foam that is provided, the sound is warmer, bass a little deeper, but the highs/ treble sound less sharper. When i used the silicon tips, the treble is crystal clear, but i hear very little bass! Can anyone suggest what tip should i use? Is Shure olives really better? btw, i got a good seal using TF10. UE eartphones are juz nice for my ears 2) I dont have a amp or a good player, i m using my laptop and ipod as the source. When i listen to heavy metal songs with my TF10, the highs sounded "broke", its not as smooth as my MF220 (which is much lower end). Why does this happened? Is it due to my player? The songs i ripped at 320k, should be clear enough right? how do i know is the cd badly mastered? 3) ES2 cable really sound better? is there really a different? cheers
