Hung Brothers Shure E2 - S$175 -
A pair of Mullards new would already cost at least S$110.

Is the Senn owners meet still on the cards?
-
Thanks Adhoc. Will try the mod.

Just tried the foamies today. Does the end with the plastic coating face the earphone or the ears? The foamies also don't seem to go as deep as the triple flange, is that correct?
-
My experience with Hung Bros is quite varied and to some extend depends on who serves you. The young guy tends to be quite impatient when I bought my PX100. The moustache guy was quite obliging and allowed me to demo both HD600 and DT880s, but face changed when I decided that I needed more time to decide. Guess they try to strike a balance between wooing potential real buyers whilst discouraging people from trying out without buying.

The comfy pads cost S$15 a pair at Music By Design.

Share Shipping Jan Meier's HD600/650 cable
Scriberex replied to Scriberex's topic in The Classifieds
This share shipping order is officially closed. Thanks for the interest. Those who have confirmed their order will be hearing from me shortly via pm. -
I tried cutting a slightly bigger hole in the Senn 414 pad and putting it on to my RS1 from the other side. Much more comfortable due to the thicker sponge and you get a nice rounded circle instead of the possibly jagged-edge of your knifework. The thickness is probably between the flat and bowl pads. Sounds great to me but YMMV.

Share Shipping Jan Meier's HD600/650 cable
Scriberex replied to Scriberex's topic in The Classifieds
Hi Extremecans, If you join in, should be about S$90 or less, depending on exchange rate charged by credit card and pay-pal fees. I have not compared this cable with any other cables. Please do a search in the main forum or at head-fi.com. Here is a link to some discussion on the cable. http://www.sgheadphones.com/index.php?show...c=1759&hl=hd650 Any other takers? Cheers! OhYeah, dunno. Maybe do a search on head-fi, or post in the main sgheadphone discussion forum to ask around. I think some people have used both and can advise you better. Any other takers? -

Share Shipping Jan Meier's HD600/650 cable
Scriberex replied to Scriberex's topic in The Classifieds
Update, we have now at least 3 orders for HD650/600 cable, and couple of 120 ohm adapters. This interest check will go for about a week plus. Please note that the prices above offer a good indication of the cost of the cable, but the exact final cost will of course depend on the final number of buyers, and can only be confirmed after I am billed, to account for exchange rate fluctuations. I will be away for work for a week, so will respond to any pm after if I can't get online. Cheers! -

icelemontea US$ about 8 days.

Well, just to conclude this episode.. Toddthevinyljunkie.com is a great guy to order stuff from. He agreed to accept mmatrix's e3c as a return to offset the purchase of an Ety ER4P, even though the 30 days return policy was up and mmatrix had thrown away the plastic packaging. Whataguy! Highly Recommended! Try that with any retailer in Singapore!!!

That would be me

Er, best to contact people who own the products and try out for yourself. I plan to wait till the Superdual comes out then decide, maybe be another guinea pig. By the way, if you want a diy, we also have a talented bunch of diyers who can make really good portable amps and cables. Try Firefox, Fishball79, Tropicalrips, Jasonhanjk, yekim, etc.
