Heard from Stereo staffs that they are not allowed to stock HD800 coz there's a regulation by sennheiser asia that only dealers with proper soundroom can retail HD800.... Wonder is this true?

 

Wonder does sennheiser asia thinks demo the hd800 in a soundroom with a integrated Marantz amplifier will do justice to the HD800? I was almost put-off by the performance when I auditioned it at one of their dealers.. luckily I had a brief audition in Germany pairing with the Earmax Silver anniversary... Hell lots of diff. Overall,a fantastic headphone in the wrong place.

I knew about this... but didn't know the logic behind it. I can understand if it's speakers, just don't understand about the soundroom and headphones theory . Anyway, if nothing goes wrong my HD800 coming soon... and yes it's not bought from any of the "soundrooms" in S'pore. Waited for sometime to let my wallet grow.
