Elpac alternative?

Recommended Posts

bought one of these (*gasp*) Malaysian-made power supplies from SLT just now. 24v DC-regulated 1A max. brand: Teletron

http://www.teletron.com.my/Products_Power_Supply.htm (TC-2401PQ)

it says "regulated" on the adapter itself, but how do I tell if its linear or switching?

its quite big and heavy, at least bigger than the usual voltage-switchable, Newstar adapters commonly found smile.gif

ps. unloaded, it tests at 24.8v using a multimeter

Non switching.. There's appeared to be a rectifies diodes, one big black power cap, suspected regulator IC, and small purple filtering cap after the regulator.. Pretty basic regulated power supply.
