Sloopee 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2011 Hi all, I am really interested in these 2 models since they are similarly priced but many places allow testing of the sennheiser px200 but not the audio technica ath-anc1. I love the sound of the px200 and wonder if the anc1 would give comparable sound with the added benefit of noise cancellation. What do you guys think? Stereo_Electronics 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2011 ANC1 is a noise cancelling headphone which require batteries to turn on the noise cancelling. If you don't need the noise cancelling function than I'd say you should go for PX200
Sloopee 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 i do want the noise cancellation but dont want to sacrifice sound quality for it. Is the sound quality comparable?
heady 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) i do want the noise cancellation but dont want to sacrifice sound quality for it. Is the sound quality comparable? If you want noise cancellation then you shouldn't be looking at PX200. Sennheiser has noise cancellation phones too, in the same family as PX200, eg. PXC250. Sloopee 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 I know about the px250 but the quality of noise cancellation on the 250 isn't good enough to justify it's significantly higher price which was why i wondered if the anc1 would provide comparable sound quality with a lower price.
