red_ryder 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2004 Sometimes I hear this crackling sound coming from the headphones. If memory serves its more prominent in the lower ranges. Is it because the cans do not have the dynamic range to reproduce bass that low? Or is it the fault of the amp? Or just a crappy recording or source?
cmk 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2004 (edited) If the sound coincides with bass music, then it maybe that the cans are struggling to produce that note. Alternatively, it could be due to electrical interferences, ie when someone switches on the lights, etc... or a dirty contact, or a scratched CD.
