I guess what he meant is, too expensive for the SGD 40.- he proposed earlier, but compare to other sources, he got it cheaper from Bulgaria (but not cheap enough for the budget amp).

I am too tired that day after getting the PCB and solder it, end up replying without much thinking.

 

It is cheaper to get from olimex for small quantity PCB. http://www.olimex.com/pcb/index.html

Since it is a prototype, I should only made in small quantity to check the quality of the design. Once the design is finallise, I'll go for mass production that can reduce the cost down to $5 each. Mass production will require bigger capital, at least $500.

 

I don't recommend members to buy from me now because they will be paying extra money.

Just do a RMAA, or the so called technical spec. The results below shows it is an ok amp, not the best but an ok amp.

 

Frequency response (from 40 Hz to 15 kHz), dB: +0.05, -0.19 Very good

Noise level, dB (A): -87.5 Good

Dynamic range, dB (A): 87.5 Good

THD, %: 0.029 Good

IMD, %: 0.032 Good

Stereo crosstalk, dB: -83.0 Very good

IMD at 10 kHz, %: 0.030 Good

I plan to use tap screw since there is already a BOSS there. Don't ask me what is a BOSS 'cos i am not quite sure myself.
