Desperately seeking BRAss

Recommended Posts

Not trumpet nor sax. not really jazz.

More like classical brass bands.

I just bought a couple of the Canadian Brass (they do an AMAZING version of Amazing Grace which is to die for). Only found 3 of them in Borders.

Canadian Brass

Looking for more.

I also have the soundtrack to "Brassed Off" which is damn good too IMO.

Brassed Off

Any other recommendations?

Yup, I still a horn player and I quite like the Canadian Brass. You can try "Ragtime" and "Swing Time". In fact most of Canadian Brass CDs contains a lot of easy listening tunes. You might want to try the website below for other brass music.

I will also recommend you Empire Brass, this is another brass ensemble group which is as good as Canadian Brass, in fact, their CDs are more well-recorded.

Thanks.

I've heard OF empire brass, but never heard them. will look out for them.

I think my favourite is the trombone. I love the richness of the tone.
