Any body tried 600ohm headphone before?

Just curious, I am not likely to get one. But I have seen 600ohm AKGs and Sennheiser HD 25-13 is also 600 ohms.

 

Just wondering are there special reasons for a pro-headphone to be 600 ohms and is special equipment required to drive these high impedance animals?
