buying a second hand headphone

Recommended Posts

hi guys, a guy is selling a second hand Sennheiser HD 497

he say he bought for a few years but seldom use.

u should i get it from him?

he is selling for $70

Golden rule is always ask to test before buying. If you are asking about how it sounds, maybe can read up Head-Fi? I searched with the keyword "HD497" and tons of info came up. Even mods for it. Go chk it up and gd luck with you purchase! happy.gif

Even a tank is destructible so what do you think. What matters is how the cans sound to you and how you take care of it. I am sure one changes ear buds more often than headphones because of cord breakage than cones of headphones being destroyed ala Mission Impossible style.

My advise is not to buy. I used to hold quite a couple of Sennheiser headphone.

Please note that all Sennheiser headphone comes with 2 years warranty.

It really very costly to replace a cone. Mine ever spoilt twice. First model : HD530 ( one of the best, very old model ) cost me S$60 buck for 1 replacement.

My second one HD565 cost me S$80 to replace.

I am currently using my HD280Pro which I like it very much. I used it on my H340 MP3 player.
