hantu 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 From looking for cans for late night DVD movies, it has got so outta control it has come to this (enjoying it nonetheless). Marantz 7300 - second hand Corda HA-1 MkII - - second hand Zu Oxyfuel IC - had it for some time AT900 Ltd - new 50 hrs in Grado 225 (Beyer headband/Senn 414 unmodded) - good 200hrs Senn 600/650 (when the price is right or when the itch becomes unbearable ) When I want my "Sultans to Swing" - the grados are it..toe tappin pleasure. Vocals/jazz trio etc. AT900's controlled treble/tight bass are great..no complaints. The midrange is a touch forward (which is OK with me) but just lacks that bit of warmth. Down to my humble plea for advice/recommendations. Will the change of interconnects, addition of footers or introducing resistance/attenuation improve the situation? http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=4132 Note : Im not willing to change source/amp to achive my objective Budget for tweaks..max 100 bucks Thanks! Mackie 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 (edited) My answer? Affirmative! My advice? Try it out for yourself. Reason? There will be audible changes but whether it's improvement is subjected to personal taste. Action? Try it.......if it doesn't work out for you or you couldn't discern any changes to sound, let sleeping dogs lie and be contented with your system as it is. Last but not least, if you have the time and the right coins, give this a try? http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?act=ST&f=2&t=367 Edited December 14, 2005 by Mackie
