sky140885 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2005 Hi all, I'm new here... Anyway, is it better to burn in my stock earphone for the IAudio U3 I just bought?? How do I do it for earphones?? Plan to get a decent earphone like shure e2c or ER-6i to use with it, so thought of learning how to burn in now with the stock first.. Thanks you all so much!!! lekguan 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2005 Actually burn in has little more meaning than than chalking up usage time to season the equipment. http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=2358&hl=burn http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=
DiGdUb 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2005 the e2c might benefit from burn-in cos its a dynamic type driver. for the armature type drivers, like the shure e4c and etymotic uses, i find that there is hardly, if any improvements at all.
feather 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2005 Sometimes burn-in is psychological as well. It might very well be your ears which are burning-in and adjusting to the new sound
