acidboy84 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2006 Just bought the Grado SR-325i just now and it's burning-in time. Is it better to burn in the cans using an amp or straight from the source? I don't have a CDP yet so most likely using my PCDP via line out. Comments please. Thanks
heady 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2006 Aiyah, burning in better to use radio lah. Less wear and tear on your player. There are various theory about the volume to use. Some people even have different volumes for different amount of time. Me? I just leave it connected to my mini compo each night when I go to sleep and tune it to a radio station and leave the volume at listening levels.

You mean that you do not burn-in the cans throughout the day? It better with an amp if not from PCDP headphone out. Ok point taken.

You mean that you do not burn-in the cans throughout the day? Day time, people at home want to listen to the set. At night no one using the set. That's why. Not every one got dedicated personal hifi.
