aaron-xp 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 Sigh, read the article before, but this just adds to the gloom. iRiver would eventually pull out, especially without the help of microsoft now...
zonalblitz_audio 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 I feel sad for them. I was hoping to jump into iRiver and expecting more powerful and higher capacity DAPs to be produced in coming year.
aaron-xp 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 I doubt they will drop out immediately... 2 years or so?

Newbie123 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 iRiver had it coming. While they produced great hardware, they killed themselves on the marketing side. They never bother to increase brand awareness and yet they charged a premium pricing and coupled with a less than average design that ppl won't be motivated to say "hey, look at me, I had a iRiver", a classic formula for disaster. I was among the few who ordered a iRiver PCDP several yrs back and really like it alot.
aaron-xp 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 Their prices put me off initially... Now, I live in regret that I didn't hop onto the boat earlier...
