What stuff to test a CDP when buying used?

Hi,

 

I'm going to audition a cdp soon.

 

I only know 2 things to look out for when testing.

 

1) The laser pickup, see whether can read cd-r, cd-rw discs, scratched discs.

2) Keep pressing open/close of the disc tray, if noisy, then not good, not sure is this called the term 'transport'.

 

Is there anymore main things to test out?
