where_my_lunch 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2006 Hi, Just change batteries for my Pa2v2 and now there is distortion when playing songs at low vol. Once the vol level is raised the distortion goes away . The prob wouldn't be so bad if I not for the audio line out I am using for the ipod . It makes it impossible to listen at comfortable level and enjoy the music . Has anybody encountered this kinda prob before ? Another interesting thing the distortion is obvious with my superfi 3 and Alessandro but not with my DT880 . I presume its got to do with the impedance . pegasus21 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2006 Wouldn't it be better to ask the guy who made it? If there's a problem just send it back for repairs since there's servicing provided... Just the postage.
heady 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2006 I remember sometime ago there was some discussion re: batteries for the PA2V2. If I remember correctly, it can only be used with re-chargable NiMH and not alkalines. Do a search on PA2V2 on this site and see if you can find the confirmation. pegasus21 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2006 BTW,how much did you buy it at? How does it compare to LDM+?

Did the above and found it really helpful . Many Thanks . Will have to switch to re-chargable ones now as currently been using only alkalines . where_my_lunch 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2006 BTW,how much did you buy it at? How does it compare to LDM+? I got it off a fellow forum member . He had it for about a week so paid like $96 for it . I can't really comment on the two as quite new about all this but I can tell you the PA2v2 is louder than the LDM+ and when paired with my prefered interconnect I found the result quite impressive . I got more bass and the details still there . Its all about preference I suppose . I tried a number of amps and interconnects and decided on my current set-up . xenocide 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2006 hmm.. i also came from LDM+ to PA2v2 it is indeed true that the PA2v2 has alot more bass than LDM+ and yet not losing its clarity LDM+ has indeed a clearer sound but just lack the bass i think it really depends on wat kind of music u listen inorder to determine the amp u wan to get
