audiophile CDs and guitar shops in singapore?

Hey all, only 2 more days until singapore for 3 days

I decided to visit Jaben, SE, sim lim square and davis guitars in peninsula

Does anyone know any audiophile cd shops there? (looking for jazz cds, john pizzarelli in particular)

and any other good guitar shops?

You may try Swee Lee @ Bras Basah, Yamaha Contemporary @ Plaza Singapura for guitars.

There's is also Lurther's Music (Can't remember where they are located now) and another big shop in Peace Centre which carries large collection of Jackson's Guitar.

While you are at adelphi (where Jaben is), you can check out the audiophile CD shops there, like New Disc Village, Roxy, etc.

Actually, Adelphi is a great place. Plus there is a building nearby (next to funan, if I am not wrong) which has a lot of guitar shops in the basement level.

Yeah, that's davis guitar in peninsula, i go there to get strings everytime i go to singapore (the ONLY place i know, anywhere in the world that carries red acoustic DR strings, don't know why)

EDIT: OH wow, i just browsed google for a bit and found where luther music is and, guitar 77, both at 5 coleman street

dont have to restirct yourself to certain shops to visit.

just get into peninsula and visit all the shops.

i believe the shopkeepers wouldnt push sales (exp from my previous trip looking for a telecaster)

Yeah, bought my acoustic guitar there. Snapped my e string though (as in the thinnest one).

 

Off topic, but is it necessary to replace all 6 strings when only 1 snaps?

Haha! I think you got no choice. However, there are some brands that carries extra E string in their pack. I can't remember which brand carries it.

 

The acoustic guitar sounds best when the strings are fresh.

im not of a hardcore guitarist, so i just change the snapped string if it happens to snap off. few yrs ago, once snapped, change the whole set 6strings lol

beside paradiz.. parklane.. theres a guitar/drums shop opposite the arcade.

u can go in and ask the uncle for string no.1-6 and wat kinda guitar.
