radioactive28 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2006 (edited) Just wondering how you guys care for your IEM. Local weather and IEM use is such that you can't quite avoid sweat and even wax on the unit and cable. I was thinking of using alcohol (ethanol) wipes. Anyone had problems with that before? Like maybe it happens to melt away the cable, or makes it dry up and crack? How about using propylene glycol? Paraben? absolut 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2006 Care for it? I just clean my UM56's out once in awhile by soaking them in warm soapy water. Other than that, I don't really do much. I do live in a much drier climate, though.
milkpowder 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2006 Same as absolut. Warm, soapy water every now and then for the triflanges and foamies. Damp cloth for the cables and body of the IEM.
