Why would you want to buy one? The UM2(which is based on the E5) is without a doubt a better earphone than the E5 and it's cheaper. Plus, you already have the UM2.

No one interested? The price is negotiable. The retail price for it here is at least $700 and you'd be getting a new set for a few hundred less.

Thinking of selling off my Shure E500. Its a brand new set that I got as a replacement from Shure and comes with all the accessories. The original fit kit with all the eartips is still unopened and sealed and I only used the Push to Hear module a few times. Still has about a year and a half of warranty from Shure. Have you considered one of the JBL Control's? They're not too steep and they just have this signature JBL shine in the sound that people like so much.

There's been plenty of discussion and opinion of the E500 on this forum. In my personal opinion, its currently the best IEM for general listening. I've had the E5 and ER4 before and I have to say the E500 is the current reigning champion. However, i haven't heard the triple-fi yet but its all subjective anyways...

Oddly enough, on the Chinese little-dot forums its 900RMB(~$120) while on the English ones its $200

Sony devices are great but the Sonicstage software that you use to manage them is COMPLETE RUBBISH. Plus, songs take forever to transfer as they have to be enclosed in a proprietary Sony wrapper.

I don't think any of the fault here is on Jaben and Wilson. He never said that the customs were made by Westone. When i asked him who made them when I got my impressions done, he did not say Westone. Simply, what happened is a customer got the customs, thought it was a UM56 or a "Custom One Off" and described it to others as a such. Stereo Electronics investigated and created the announcement. Did Jaben or Stereo do anything wrong? No, they did not, in any way you look at it, lie. Was Stereo's announcement unethical? In my opinion, no. They were simply telling the public that not all custom earmolds are UM56's.
