I think I wanted to cancelled my order already ( 3 months & still no new yet ). The waiting time is superly long. By the way, do you need to solder a capacitor on the AD797 as wat I see from Ron's picture ? Edited December 14, 2006 by Jeremy

pegasus21 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2006 They are all the same. The non 'Z' version is not ROHC compliant. This means that it contains lead in it. This makes no difference to you unless you want to export the device to the UK. Even so, get the 'Z' version as it's ROHC compliant and cheaper. The 'AR' version is the surface mount version. While the 'AN' is the dual inline package type which can be used in a socket. If I remember right, the amp can take the socket type so get the socket type. Just check if it can take single or dual opamp per package.
Jeremy 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2006 (edited) Let me get my SMIV first. Basically, this is my first portable amp & I might have a problem identifying the channel. Single & dual op-amp ? How is the configuration like & what it mean ? I had also ordered a pair of compensation sockets for AD797. An AD797 configuration picture will be much better. Thanks.
